Scout reached out to Boo Radley to be his friend even though he scared her.

Boo Radley saving Jem and Scout from Bob Ewell who tries to assault and kill them after Atticus defends the black man who supposedly raped his daughter. Boo kills Ewell after he, Ewell, assaults Jem severely. Boo carries Jem home, even though Boo has not left the confines of his home for years.
Boo saving Jem and Scout and then killing Ewell. How, after the court case and everything was said and done, Scout began to speak to Boo even though she had being frightened of him previously. This also shows how they all changed over the course of the trial; maybe it was Atticus' courage that inspired Boo to leave the house? And then, from looking at Tom who was nothing more than a no-good rapist in the town's eyes as someone innocent, someone who was so obviously innocent, Scout managed to conquer her fear of him. And not Atticus defending Tom but when the whole town went against him he still stuck to it. That is the obvious example, sorry.
